Year = 1998 Month = November Day = 14 Day-of-year = 318 Site = Poker Flat Sunrise = 18:25 Sunset = 00:42 Moonrise = 12:07 Moonset = 00:39 Moon_age = 24 Aurora = Storm - Aurora filled the sky for extended periods Cloud = Diffuse or hazy cloud, but sky features discernable at most times Magnetometer = Minor Storm ASC = Long moondown, ran OK MSP = Ran all night on all channels VHF_radar = Good data coverage for the entire 24 hours Electrojet = Good data coverage from real-time calculations (typically 5 minute intervals) SDI = Ran all night, very good and very interesting data Bomem = No data MSG = No data Trailer = No data UW_FPI = Unknown CRL_NF_FPI = Unknown CRL_AS_FPI = Unknown Stratosperic_lidar = Unknown Rayleigh_lidar = Unknown Resonance_lidar = Unknown Ebert = No data Comments = Beautiful SDI data! Well developed westward wind throughout the evening, entirely as expected given the last two night's activity. On the flip side, the wind fields were rather dull and uniform (again as expected). The sky did have thin cloud most of the night, but it didn't appear to degrade the SDI data. Nice temperature data also; good temperature dips associated with auroral brightenings. ASC mpeg creation failed. MC 14-Nov-1998.
